Right now, many of us are feeling very uneasy about everything going on in the world.

And since we are all in self-isolation,  why not take advantage of the extra time you have instead of just watching Netflix?

While others are distracted, you can double down and put effort into tasks that will benefit your business.

You’ll feel good about accomplishing something that will help your business grow and also get your mind off all the craziness going on.

So, we have put a list together of 5ways you can help your business grow and take advantage of time in self-isolation.

Continue reading to discover what they are…

1) Start Doing Content Marketing

Content Marketing is a strategic approach that focuses on creating and distributing valuable, relevant, and consistent information for attracting an audience to drive customer sales.

It is something that you should be doing, but it can take time to get it started.

The reason you should be doing content marketing is that it helps build up your authority and knowledge in your industry. It also has the potential to bring in leads and sales.

For content creating you could start a blog, podcast, or YouTube channel.

And the content you create can also be repurposed and shared on your Social Media.

You don’t have to tackle them all at once, but maybe try just focusing on one that you feel you’d be better at doing.

2) Develop A Social Media Strategy

When starting a business, social media can stress out a lot of entrepreneurs because they don’t know what to post, how to get photos, what to write for captions, or about likes and engagement.

There is a lot that goes into Social Media, and getting it up and going can take time.

But having Social media can help businesses to get more exposure, traffic, and insights on their audience.

If you are doing social media already, it could be a good time to start one you’ve been wanting to do but haven’t had the time like Tik-Tok, Pinterest, or maybe even start using Facebook and Instagram stories.

But if you haven’t been using social media at all, it’s time to start and figure out your plan of action.

Here is a  list of all the different social media platforms:

  • Facebook
  • Instagram
  • Twitter
  • Pinterest
  • Snapchat
  • Tik-Tok
  • YouTube
  • Linkedin

Of course, your business doesn’t have to do every social media that is out there. You want to consider your audience and what platform makes sense the most sense for your business.

The two that are the easiest for a business to start doing is Instagram and Facebook. The reason for this is because they have less of a learning curve and both have a lot of daily users.

For insights on the demographics of each platform, go here to learn more.

And there are some great tools out there too that are free and can help you schedule stuff ahead of time like Later, Buffer, or Hootsuite.

3) Start Split Testing

Split testing or A/B testing gives you the chance to experiment with two different variants of anything that you want to test to see what performs better and gets a better conversion rate.

Spending time on split testing can help to improve your overall marketing strategies and achieving desired results because you know what performs better.

But of course, testing different things and comparing the results takes time.

So right now is the perfect time to start playing around and trying out different variations to see what gets the best results.

Some ideas that you could start testing:

  • Pictures
  • Videos
  • Color Schemes
  • Headlines
  • Call-to-action buttons
  • Descriptions
  • Ad copy
  • Button sizes
  • Page arrangements
  • Email subject lines

There are lots of different variants that you can test to start optimizing your marketing strategies. Just remember to always look at what the data is telling you, and to only test one thing at a time, so you know what is making a difference with the results.

4) Learn New Marketing Strategies

Marketing is always changing, there are new strategies, trends, and statistics constantly. So it’s important to stay up to date on what’s going on.

But when you are running your own business, you have a lot to do, and you don’t always have the opportunity to take the time to learn new marketing strategies or trends that could benefit your business.

By learning new innovative strategies, you can see what you can do to improve your current strategies.

And some ways to do this are reading blogs and books, listening to podcasts, and watching YouTube videos that share information about successfully running a business online.

We recommend subscribing to our CEO, Fred Lam’s YouTube channel where he shares information for free on how to build, scale, and grow any online business.

5) Grow An Email List

Email Marketing doesn’t need to be as complicated or time-consuming as many people think it is.

The reason why you want to be doing email marketing is to build relationships and communicate with leads, current customers, and past customers.

You can start growing an email list if you haven’t started doing that yet and start sending out emails.

The different types of emails you can send are…

  • Promotional / Special Offer Email
  • Content Email
  • Newsletter Email
  • Welcome Email
  • Thank-you Email
  • Announcement Email

Send the types of emails that make the most sense for your business and remember to keep it simple.

Our recommended way to grow your email list is by using Facebook Lead Ads or Google Lead Ad Extensions.

The great thing about this is that you can do it all within the platforms, so you don’t need a website or landing page to collect emails.

With Facebook Lead Ads and Google Lead Ads, a form pops-up when a potential lead clicks on the ad for them to submit their information to subscribe to your email list.

This makes it very easy for you to collect your leads information and for your leads to give you their information.

But the only problem is that there is no way for you to automatically retrieve your leads information. Instead, you have to manually go into Facebook or Google and export the lead’s information yourself.

This means that you aren’t able to immediately send them an email after they have given you their information.

It’s a problem because it’s important that you send a follow-up email as soon as they subscribe to your list to keep your business at the top of their mind.

But with LeadsTunnel, you don’t have to worry about that.
